Surface Pro Pen tip replacement (windows pen nib replacement) for under 2 dollars CHEAP DIY

Windows pen nib replacement cheap and easy! DIY

Works with surface pro pens and also with other windows pens (HI3, HI2, chuwi)

Items needed:

Pencil

Water

5 minute dry epoxic instant mix or another enamel as nails enamel (transparent)

Extras (optional):

Water sander sheet 

Magnet

1. 

First put let a regular pencil soak in water for a few hours (not necessarily but recommended)

Cut in half the pencil and extract the interior.

The base and the tip should be sanded to have a smooth contact surface (both in the interior and the side that makes contact with your tablet.

You will need 1.2-1.5 cms long tip (this is as needed)

Put epoxic resin in a plastic surface and mix.

Apply in the tip of your nib that is going to make contact with your tablet.

Let it dry for minimum 5 minutes, here you can use a magnet so it drys uniform and that it has no pointy edges that can damage your tablet.

IMPORTANT

Double check in a piece of paper and in your hand that it is not drawing or leaving color residues and that it feels smooth (not scratching).

Enjoy your new surface / windows tablet pen nib.

This works because the graffite is conductive, not sure about this one but maybe more conductive than the regular nib.

How to use Mibox3 MDZ-19-AA after changing to MDZ-16-AB (international version) NETFLIX & Online content

The following guide is AFTER YOU HAVE changed your Mibox3s (MDZ-19-aa) to the International version MDZ-16-AB, to achieve this I followed the following guide:

After that I updated and that is where the problems started but here is the fix:

If the google play store is not working > Clear all data

After that from a laptop I reached play store and downloaded ES file explorer for mibox3 and HAL launcher (this one is a key feature!!!)

ES file explorer got installed on Mibox3

From there I reached ES on the Mibox3 and clicked on Sender > Sender settings > Select same wifi Mode…. Do the same on your cellphone or Tablet (make sure it has the same credentials as your Mibox3)

I sent Netflix, Prime video (which worked for a short time), OpenVPN and Chrome for android to the Mibox3 and installed.

Then from Hal Launcher you can see you apps that will be marked as “handheld” no problem at all!

Here you can connect to Netflix and it will assume is your Phone or tablet the one active (downside is that it only displays on 720), also with Hal Launcher you can set Web shortcuts so you can see online stuff  like the one on “pelispedia tv”

To do this go to (inside HAL) > Settings > create shortcut > WEB > URL type http://viahold.com/X6e > Save

• Additional tips: always type complete URL with http otherwise it will search on google
• Verify Chrome is set as : request desktop site
• If you want to set an icon you'll need to download a simple file explorer and select your jpg from “picker”

The next step is arrange them on the grid so they are available all the time:

To do this go to (inside HAL) > Settings > APP list> on the left grid select the icons you want to display > on the right grid I would recommend “NEW group” so you can have the ones you really need > Select your group and the icons you want to move and click on > ADD

Finally to really have a smooth experience go to:

HALauncher setting:

• Assure to have clicked “set a shortcut on Recommendations”
• Prefer TV mode when launching…
• Use show all apps > include shortcuts on all apps
• Return the star when end of the line

I highly recommend an external keyboard and mouse.
